Questionnaire Response

Cliff Cullen - Spruce Woods

1. Why did you decide to run in the 2016 Manitoba election?

It would be a great pleasure to serve and represent the fantastic people of Spruce Woods. I look forward to serving in a PC Government should we be fortunate to be given the opportunity.

2. What experience will you bring to complement your role as MLA?

I have served 12 years as MLA in this region; 4.5 years as the MLA for Spruce Woods.  I have a background in agriculture, environment and business.  Twelve years in Opposition has allowed me insight into various government departments and crown corporations.

3. Is there anything in particular you would like to change in our province? In your electoral division?

Manitobans are tired of paying more and getting less.  We pay some of the highest taxes in the country and have the poorest results in so many areas – including healthcare and education.  Manitobans deserve value for their tax dollars.  If you don’t care about results, you don’t care.

4. What key issue(s) / topic(s) would like to stand for in your role as MLA, and why is it important to you?

Additionally, infrastructure issues need attention in our region.  I look forward to positive economic development in the region.

5. What is one thing in particular that you value about the electoral division that you wish to represent?

The real value of this riding is the people.  They deserve a government that will treat them with respect and provide them the opportunity to grow, prosper and raise their families.  Like me, they would love to have their children stay in this great Province.

6. Do you have any other comments regarding your candidacy?

Manitoba is facing many serious issues.  Despite these issues, there is nothing wrong with Manitoba that can’t be fixed by Manitobans.
