Questionnaire Response

Jitendradas Loves-Life - Logan

1. Why did you decide to run in the 2016 Manitoba election?

I was asked to be on the ballot. I believe I would do an outstanding job as an MLA for Logan.

2. What experience will you bring to complement your role as MLA?

I have skills working in diplomacy from all over the world. I serve as a director of an arts cooperative and have worked in my riding consistently for the past three years. I have an immense amount of experience working with people from all walks of life and from numerous different countries.

3. Is there anything in particular you would like to change in our province? In your electoral division?

Mental health resources are absolutely pathetic in this province. Many people are struggling with depression, addictions and anxiety disorders. Seeing as this is my area of expertise, I’d like to make the core focus of my work in this campaign and this world in general to helping people achieve mental, social, emotional, physical and spiritual balance in their lives.

With this balance will come economic balance, but, first we have to start with ourselves.

I want to see more emphasis on helping people engage with active Self-inquiry, spiritual study and meditation. I want the Province to heavily fund this initiative.

4. What key issue(s) / topic(s) would like to stand for in your role as MLA, and why is it important to you?

Honor the environment. Forget the economy. We cannot eat money. We cannot eat garbage. We cannot eat oil.

Protect the environment. This is is the key to our survival.

5. What is one thing in particular that you value about the electoral division that you wish to represent?

The diversity inside of it! There are many cultures, religions and ethnic backgrounds in the Logan riding. There are millionaires living in penthouse suites in the heart of the Exchange District and there are people living in crack-houses on Spence.

There’s a lot going on there. I love the diversity. I celebrate the diversity. I welcome the challenge of bringing balance to an incredibly imbalanced division.

6. Do you have any other comments regarding your candidacy?

I cannot possibly expect to win this campaign against parties that are heavily funded. I can however hope that my candidacy shows the power of the individual and celebrates the autonomous nature of the Green Party and its candidates.
