Questionnaire Response

Reg Helwer - Brandon West

1. Why did you decide to run in the 2016 Manitoba election?

Over the past four years I have been able to help countless Brandon West residents access the services and programs of the provincial government.  I want to build on that record and be part of a new PC administration that will provide open government that is based on trust and accountability.

2. What experience will you bring to complement your role as MLA?

I have been involved in business, finance, economics and various volunteer organizations and charities over my career.  I enjoy dealing with people and finding solutions to problems.

3. Is there anything in particular you would like to change in our province? In your electoral division?

I want to make Manitobans proud again.  I want our province to have the best healthcare, education and services in Canada.  A PC government will also make it easier for entrepreneurs and innovators to open new businesses and grow our economy.

4. What key issue(s) / topic(s) would like to stand for in your role as MLA, and why is it important to you?

Trust.  It is by far the biggest issue of this campaign.  We give our trust and we expect it to be given back through open, clean government.  Sadly, that is not what we have today with the Selinger NDP.

Manitobans deserve a government that values taxpayer money and eliminates waste.

5. What is one thing in particular that you value about the electoral division that you wish to represent?

Brandon West is full of amazing people who care deeply about our community.  The Wheat City is known far and wide for our sense of volunteerism.
